Feather-light operation that doesn’t make you feel the length. A tremendous restoring power hidden within.
Versatile 69MH promises the best performance from shallow to deep.

Castability, operability, sensitivity, power… Moongazer is a versatile rod that has an excellent balance in all of these, and is compatible with the widest range of lures and rigs in the Orion series.

Its high adaptability is especially effective for worm-type fishing, including rubber jigs, which have a wide variety of rigs, weights, and fishing methods. With all kinds of rigs such as Texas rig, free rig, no sinker rig, down shot rig, leaderless down shot rig, Neko rig, Carolina rig, etc. Worms range from claw-type, high-density back slides to 5-inch shad tails, and 12-inch long worms. Weights range from no sinkers to sinkers up to 1/2 oz (14 g), cover shooting, bottom fishing, mid-level fishing, and rods. This is the perfect one to cover all types of worm fishing, which continues to be subdivided year by year, such as action fishing with a reel, swimming fishing with a reel, etc.

In addition to the MH regular taper, which is in the middle of a versatile setting, the length of 6 feet 9 inches creates an even wider range of support.

Get as far away from the cover as possible, shoot the rig into the pin spot, and drag out the big bass. Send the lure to the opposite shore with a long cast and hook it from a distance. There are many other situations where a long rod length is advantageous when warming, such as when feeding the rod during a Texas rig swimming bite or when using a heavy Carolina rig that requires a leader. What’s more, it has a “feather-light feel” that doesn’t make you feel at all the length of 69, and you can perform all movements with ultra-high precision all day long without stress and maintaining concentration.

The shaft, which is made up of the Trading Card® T1100G + woven 4-axes, provides “it’s flexible and easy to throw, but it’s crisp and easy to operate, and it’s sensitive,” and “It bends and returns with great force, so it has the power to float the fish.” A strange feeling. By combining the contradictory elements required for each action of casting, operation, sensing, hooking and fighting at an extremely high level, its versatility has further increased.

As a result, we have a high level of coverage of spinner baits, buzz baits, top water plugs, big wake baits, S-shaped big baits, metal vibrations, jigging spoons, and other rolled and manipulated hard bait games. Not only does it follow high-level hard baiting with its casting accuracy, long-distance performance, and smooth tip-to-belly entry, but it also has good sensitivity as a warming rod, making it easier to grasp lure vibrations and their changes, increasing winding speed. Another advantage is that it is easy to adjust and operate the device at the right time.

Light as a feather, you won’t feel the long length of 6 feet 9 inches. The power to bend and return with tremendous power hidden within its lightness. It feels sharp and supple in your hand, with tight tension and sensitivity, but also bends according to the load. This mysterious feeling is proof that the ideal bass rod, which is a mass of contradictions, has been realized. Moongazer is one of the most versatile and versatile of the Orion series.

Pro staff impression

Toshifumi Kikumoto
In terms of power and action, it’s the best match for a 3/8oz rubber jig, but it’s actually wide enough to comfortably handle Bass Enemy 3.5 no-sinker rigs and 3.5g cover creeper + antlion 3.3 inches on a 14lb line. Focusing on the Football Jig, Texas Rig, and Zero Dan, Kikumoto uses the Sculpin 3.5-inch Gundama Rig, the 12-inch Bowworm Neko Rig, the same no-sinker Wacky, and even the Shower Blows, D Zone, and Jackhammer 1/2oz class. . Because of its wide range of use, this rod is the mainstay of Okappari.
Also, it has amazing power that makes the big bass feel small. I have had the experience of hooking a fish with a 12-inch bowworm at Ikehara Dam, thinking it was a 40-class fish at first, and then it came easily to me, but halfway through it looked like it was over 50, and I landed it and it turned out to be a rockfish.

Hideo Ebihara
Its strength is that it can accurately hit the pin spot of the cover with light Texas. While it has plenty of power, it’s light and well-balanced, which obviously improves the castability when shooting from cover. In particular, when shooting at Lake Kasumigaura, you cast a lot all day long, so if your rod is light, your casts won’t be disturbed, which will improve your rhythm and result in more fish.
With this rod, I often use a Texas rig with a 2.6g to 10.5g sinker such as Double Motion, Bass Enemy, or Bass Enemy Stick. I usually use 6g as a base, 5g if I want it to be fluffy, and 7g if I have trouble getting into the cover.

Mamoru Okita
A highly balanced rod that is easy to throw, light, sensitive, and powerful. I mainly use 5g Light Texas and 5g Cherry Rig, but you can also throw lighter weights like Cover Creeper 3.5g and Bass Enemy 3.5 without sinker on the rod. If you think about it, it is also the best match for head shaker 5 (no sinker), D zone 3/8oz & 1/2oz, and winding fishing like loud buzz.
The high sensitivity makes it easy to feel the vibrations of the lure and its changes, making it easy to grasp the underwater conditions and adjusting your swimming to suit the situation, making it easier to catch fish. It can be used for anything from covering to winding, so I would like to have at least 5 of these rods.

Yasunao Hondo
For example, I use a Bass Enemy 3.5 inch 5g free rig at a depth of about 3 to 4 meters, but depending on the water depth I may raise it to 14g. It is also good for targeting smallmouth bass at a depth of 10m when you want to handle a 1/2oz football jig delicately but also need hooking power.
Also, when swimming a 5-inch head shaker, I usually use a stargazer, but in situations where there are a lot of short bites, I choose a moongazer because it makes it easier to suck it in. Even a 5/0 hook has enough power to make a solid hook. I also use it for the edge breaker no-sinker backslide.

Kazuya Shimada
A rod that allows you to throw with such precision that you wonder if you were that good at it. After hooking the line, the fish will float up on its own due to the force of the rod returning it, so the reel’s job is simply to reel in the excess line. The 66cm fish I caught with a silent blaster was caught in the torrent of backwater using Magic Hard R12lb line. The rod absorbs the thrust of the big bass well, so it’s nice to be able to use a thin line that suppresses the effects of current and wind.
With the same settings, I caught 61cm with a Sepal 7 without a sinker, and even Rokumaru was able to catch it. I also use it for 1/16oz cat rigs such as Jointed Claw 178 and Bowworm 12.

Riku Satake
Although it is 69MH, it is a strange rod that makes you feel as if you are using an M power rod or bait finesse rod while fishing. Also, using this rod has clearly improved my casting accuracy. I can confirm this no matter what anyone says.
My main fish are Free Rig or Texas Rig 5g in the river, and Football Jig 3/8oz in the reservoir. Free rigs can be as light as 3.5g, and compact rubber jigs like the 4.5g and 5.8g cover creepers will also work fine. I also throw Bowworm 12 (no sinker, Neko Rig), D Zone 3/8, 1/2oz, and on the heavier side S Drive. It can do anything, so it is a powerful weapon in Okappari where the number of rods is limited.

Separate type that supports casting from all directions and pursues operability and weight reduction.

Both the center grip and rear grip are made of high-hardness EVA, achieving the excellent durability unique to EVA material and the direct feel of operation due to the hard material.
