TD-Z Type R (Limited Edition)

The TD-Z Type R was a 2002 limited release.  It is the first limited model of the TD-Z.  The casting reels were offered in only two models.  The reel featured Type R logos and red trim on the gear box.  The weight was dropped by .3oz in both models over the standard versions.  The biggest difference between the Type R and a standard TD-Z is in the spool.  The Type R features the same GIGAS spool, but the inductor has been anodized red and is machined into a cone shape.  This shape reduces braking at lower speeds increasing distance, but also makes the spool harder to control than a stock 103 GIGAS spool.
