Introduced in 2004 the Daiwa Certate was Daiwa’s new line with the Real Four Concept. The reel features an ABS Spool, Twist Buster II, and a metal body. The reel is designed to be fished in Saltwater and accept Daiwa’s RCS Real Custom System option parts. The 1500 and 2000 feature I-Shape knobs. The 2500, 3000, 3500, and 400 feature T-Shaped knobs. Daiwa later introduced a 2500-R model which was a 3000 size reel with a 2500 size spool and a machine cut handle for ultimate durability. They also produced a 3500HD model with a machine cut handle, larger power knob and a spool with a steeper reverse taper to aid braided line use.
