Another dimension of cast feel. Performance that is guaranteed to win. The best medium action with excellent winding and shooting.

Cantata is the ultimate medium versatile rod. Its biggest appeal is its impressive casting performance. The high-performance carbon material Torayca® T1100G is used throughout the body to cast low-trajectory casts from a shaft that bends flexibly and bounces back powerfully, covering all medium-class lures, mainly spinner baits and bladed jigs. do.
However, just being able to throw various medium class lures is not enough. Even if the lure weight changes from 3/8oz to 1/2oz, the cast feel remains the same. The same feeling of use creates an outstanding sense of stability, and the casting performance of another dimension, which allows you to swing lightly on both forehand and backhand, and accurately hit the target spot, is impressive.
Once the cast is decided, the number of part-time jobs will increase. However, even if the number of bites increases, there is no point in not being able to catch fish, hook fish, or catch fish. The amazingly high catch rate (especially with single-hook hard baits such as spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and bladed jigs) that reliably brings bites to the landing has been proven in field tests.
In addition, the operability, sensitivity, and power when handling shooting objects such as light Texas and compact jigs are perfect thanks to the Treca® T1100G that penetrates from the butt end to the tip and the quattro woven cross reinforcement of the butt.
A different-dimensional casting feel that leads to fishing results that exceed your previous experience. While mastering roll fishing, there is no blind spot in shooting fishing. Orion Cantata is the ultimate 6 feet 7 inch medium versatile rod.

Cantata told by Toshifumi Kikumoto
6 feet 7 inches medium action. The main thing is maki fishing. However, it is also highly compatible with shooting fishing. The ultimate versatile rod. When developing the Cantata, we were most conscious of its casting performance.
For example, if you can screw the D-zone or jackhammer into a gap that can only be entered at that angle with a low trajectory and at the very edge of the bank, it goes without saying that the number of fish that will respond will increase.
What does it mean to throw with a low trajectory? There are various reasons for this, but if you can throw with a low trajectory, it will be easier to suppress the sound of landing. If you decide to make a low-trajectory cast so that the lure is sucked into the spot where the bass is likely to be hiding, the probability of getting a bite after landing on the water with just a few turns of the reel handle increases dramatically.
Then, when I cast towards the bank while the boat is drifting, the cover gets in the way and I can only pass the lure along this course. Once you see the course you want to follow, you must instantly decide to cast according to that angle, or you will lower your chances of getting a bite. Even in Okappari, where footholds are limited, there should be such a gap.
To cast into a gap that can only be entered at that angle with a low trajectory… Repulsive force to force out a medium-class lure, and flexibility to obediently follow casts from all directions… This is Cantata. It was the performance I was looking for.
Specifically, we took a lot of time to adjust the power balance between the tip and belly sections. Instead of just thinking about it on paper, we actually went out into the field and repeatedly cast and revised the prototype to find the best answer.
The earliest prototypes were easy to cast as they curved neatly to the berry, but for example, when I threw a Jackhammer 1/2oz + trailer, the berry went in a bit too much and I felt like I didn’t have enough power to push the lure out. there was.
In order to shoot sharply and with a low trajectory, I felt it was necessary to increase the tension of the belly, but making this adjustment was a delicate and subtle process. This is because, as a medium versatile rod, it is essential for Kikumoto not only to be able to throw a 1/2oz lure accurately with a low trajectory, but also to be able to swing a 3/8oz lure with exactly the same feeling. This is because we wanted a perfect feeling of use that does not change even when the lure weight changes.
Through repeated trial and error, I finally found the best berry tension and was able to cast low trajectory accuracy with a surprisingly light swing that felt the same whether it was 3/8oz or 1/2oz.
3/8oz and 1/2oz. It’s a small difference in numbers, but when you consider that even with the same 1/2 oz, the casting feel changes just by changing the trailer, it’s amazing how this rod can do this… Anglers who are into it will understand. I think. Simply being able to use a wide range of lures is not enough; even if the lure weight changes, we have a rod that can be used with a wide range of uses in the true sense of the word, allowing you to use it with the best feeling for each lure.
And of course, as the tension of the berry has increased, the power to flick the lure has also increased, making it possible to cast even lower trajectories. Also, being able to cast from a position that is one rank further away than usual is a big deal.
The tension of the berry emphasizes the relative suppleness of the tip, and it follows easily on both forehand and backhand, making it more reliable to cast into gaps that can only be entered at specific angles with one shot. It has become a thing. Especially when it comes to backhand casts, circle casts, or casts with a non-dominant hand, the performance far exceeds my expectations, making me realize that even though I’ve been bass fishing for over 40 years, I can still get better at it. He gave it to me.
Moreover, anglers who have had shorter careers than me should still have a lot of room to grow, so if you actually cast cantata, you’ll definitely feel like you’ve improved. The more you use it, the more you will feel the joy of making a cast, and I am confident that it will become a rod that you can enjoy fishing with because it is fun to cast.
A further challenge during development was to pursue a high probability of catching a fish from the time it bites. No matter how accurate your casting is, it’s meaningless if you can’t catch or hook bites. To be extreme, you can test your casting without catching a fish, but in order to increase your chances of catching a fish, you cannot test it without actually hooking a bass. Therefore, this is where we spent the most time in actual testing.
In order to get answers from the field, I went out to the field again and again with the final prototype in hand and continued to verify the probability from bite to landing… As a result, the catch rate was amazing (especially for D zone , jackhammer , loud buzz , etc.) The development test came to an end with the single-hook hard bait hitting an ultra-high probability.
(On the other hand, in terms of operability, sensitivity, and power when using a shooting object as a medium versatile rod, it is perfect due to the Torayca® T1100G that penetrates from the butt end to the tip and the Quattro Woven Cross reinforcement of the butt.In actual fishing tests, it is perfect for using light Texas and cover rods . I was already more than convinced of its performance by using Creeper etc.)
By the way, “cantata” means a vocal piece with accompaniment, and it is performed brilliantly, as if singing along with the rhythm, against the backdrop of various elements that form the field situation, such as wind, current, waves, rain, and even silence. It means that I want to be a fisherman who continues to fish. In bass fishing, changing conditions are an opportunity. The name reflects our desire to be sensitive to the wind and currents, to sense their changes, and to seize the moment and take advantage of the opportunity.
Orion Cantata is a rod that truly awakens your sixth sense. In addition to amazing casting performance, we have created a rod that can be called the ultimate medium versatile rod with an amazing probability of landing a bite.
Finally, based on Kikumoto’s track record, we will introduce the best lure for cantata (not a compatible lure. If it is a compatible lure, it has a wider range).
The most suitable lures are D Zone 3/8oz, 1/2oz, Jackhammer 3/8oz, 1/2oz, and Loud Buzz 3/8oz. Also suitable for single hook hard baits such as SR Mini 3/8oz and 1/2oz.
