2012 brought another revision to the workhorse Luvias. The body was changed from Air-Metal to Zaion and the bearings were upgraded to Daiwas new Magseal technology. The reel also retained previous features such as Real Foru, ABS, and Twistbuster II. The drag was upgraded to Daiwa Ultimate Tournament Drag and is waterproof. The 3012 and 3012H utilize the T-Shaped knob. The Luvias is still is made in Japan.
