The SV103 reels were released in late 2015 by Daiwa to the US market. The reel features the familiar Zillion aluminum frame and aluminum gear side plate. The spool is one of Daiwas new A7075 Aluminum SV spools. The spool is 34mm like the Steez and TD-Z and not 36mm like that of the Zillion. The bearings are CRBB and the reel is equipped with Daiwas UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag). The high speed version has gold trim pieces while the xtra hyper speed has purple trim.
