The TD-Z Type R+ was a 2004 limited release. The reel features extra porting and red trim components. The weight was dropped by .3oz over the standard versions. The Type R+ takes the Type R inductor and slightly changes the tuning to provide a more controlled cast while still utilizing the same 6g Gigas Spool. It is still faster than the stock TD-Z spool, but more manageable than the wild Type R. This reel was the prototype for the Daiwa Steez reel.
